Auction live · closes 16 October, the morning pre-orders open
Your logo on the back
of an iPhone Duo.
Fourteen die-cut vinyl slots on the folded back — the one face that stays pointed at the world. Twelve at $200, two at $300. Sold together, they buy the phone.
Announced 16 September. In hand 23 October.

Star White · 256GB
Every slot, every bid, in the open.
Twelve small slots at $200 and two large ones at $300 — $3,000 if all fourteen go at floor, which is exactly what the phone and the year around it cost. 14 have no bid yet.

Every bid since the first one.
The figure on each day is what still stands from it — bids nobody has beaten since. That is why these add up to the amount raised, not to the far larger sum of everything ever bid.

Every bid will show up here, the moment it lands.
Three steps. No platform in the middle.
This is one person, one phone and a vinyl cutter. Nothing here takes a percentage.

Pick a slot
Fourteen of them on the folded back. Twelve small at $200, two large at $300 either side of the Apple logo. Nothing covers the logo or the cameras.

Bid, or outbid
Open slots go at the floor price. Taken ones need 10% over the standing bid, rounded up to the nearest $5. Highest bid on 16 October wins it.

It gets printed
I cut your logo as vinyl and apply it the day the Duo arrives, 23 October. Then it goes everywhere I do for the next year.
How $3,000 becomes a phone.

- Buy it in India
Landed price on the base 256GB — import duty and GST included — runs close to $3,000 on its own. The straightforward option: everything raised goes straight into the phone.
- Someone brings it from the US
Base price there is about $2,000. If a sponsor or a friend picks one up stateside, the gap doesn't go back in my pocket — it goes up a storage tier instead. Same $3,000, more phone.
- I fly out and buy it myself
Somewhere with friendlier pricing than India — Malaysia, say — the base runs closer to the US number. What's left after the phone covers the flight, and I come home with a Duo either way.
Whichever route it ends up being, $3,000 is the number that covers it. Fall short and the sponsors move to my current iPhone 16 instead — see the FAQ.
The obvious ones, answered.
Is this real?
Yes. Apple announced the iPhone Duo on 16 September. Pre-orders open on 16 October and it ships on 23 October. This auction closes the morning pre-orders open, so the money goes straight into the order. The stickers are real die-cut vinyl and the phone genuinely goes everywhere with me.
Why only the folded back?
Because it is the only surface that is always facing outwards and never covered. The inner 7.6-inch display is a screen, the outer display is a screen, and the hinge is a moving part with a 100-component mechanism I am not gluing anything to. One face, fourteen slots, no clutter.
How is it priced?
Twelve small slots at $200 and two large slots at $300 — the large ones are 1.5x the small price and sit either side of the Apple logo, which is the spot people actually look at. Twelve times $200 plus two times $300 is exactly the $3,000 I need.
How does outbidding work?
Every slot opens at its floor price. To take a slot from whoever holds it you have to beat their bid by at least 10%, rounded up to the nearest $5, with a $20 minimum step. You pay your bid immediately through Pocketsflow's checkout — if someone outbids you afterwards, you're refunded automatically the moment they do. Whoever is on top when the auction closes on 16 October keeps the slot.
What do I actually get?
Your logo, printed as die-cut vinyl, on the slot you win, applied the day the phone arrives. A row on this page with a live link to your site. And a phone that gets used in public constantly — conferences, cafes, demo videos, build-in-public posts. I can't promise impressions. I can promise the sticker is physically there.
Will you cover the Apple logo?
No. The grid is laid out around it and around the camera plateau, both measured off Apple's own product shot. The logo stays visible, which is rather the point — your logo sits next to it, not on top of it.
What if you don't hit $3,000?
Then the Duo doesn't happen and the stickers go on my current phone instead — an iPhone 16, which I use every day anyway. Every slot with a winning bid still gets its logo, printed and applied, whichever phone it ends up on. Nothing here is contingent on the total; the total decides which phone, not whether the stickers ship.
